Urvashi Sharma is a dedicated Wildlife Researcher, Conservationist, and Eco-Tourism Specialist based
in the Kota–Chambal region of Rajasthan. She is also Kota’s first female boat operator, personally
navigating Chambal safaris and providing tourists with authentic, safe, and educational wildlife
experiences.
She completed her M.Sc. in Wildlife in 2019 and has since contributed significantly to wildlife
research and conservation. Urvashi has successfully conducted two government-recognized research
projects focused on Otter ecology and Fish diversity in the Chambal and Mukundra regions, providing
valuable insights into riverine biodiversity, species behavior, and habitat conservation.
Alongside her research, Urvashi actively works in wildlife tourism, expertly coordinating Jungle and
River Safaris, sharing accurate wildlife interpretation, and creating memorable experiences for
visitors. Her deep love for working in forests and river ecosystems makes every safari guided by her
an authentic encounter with nature. In addition to her tourism and research work, she is a skilled
wildlife photographer and videographer, capturing rare and stunning moments of the Chambal
region’s flora and fauna. Her visual documentation helps raise awareness about biodiversity and
inspires conservation.
